We went on a Tuesday night. Both bartenders were very friendly, knew their cocktails, and made one special that hit the spot! There was a group having a good/loud time in the bar area, so we retreated to the cozy/comfortable lounge, and the server there was super nice/fun!
Loved the vibe. This is a good spot for a chill date night or hang with friends. Music was on-point, and low enough to hear conversation. The drinks are creative & crafted (I didnt see any batched or pre-mixed); which is important considering the price per cocktail. I dont mind paying more for good cocktails. We did not have food. I would recommend.
Awesome bar/cafe at the Freehand. My partner and I stayed here and we ate at the Broken Shaker multiple times. The food was delicious, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was very nice. Glitch (?) was our bartender multiple nights and he made the experience great. Will happily go back for breakfast or a drink if I'm in the area again. EDIT: Made a 2nd reservation for the end of March :)
The Broken Shaker is a vibe. It's adorable and nothing else really matters. But I'll go on anyway, the music is nice, and the food and drinks are decent. The Broken Shaker is a tiki bar themed bar inside thr now Freehand Hotel, formerly Tokyo Hotel. The name of the drinks are fun and a conversation in themselves. Food was pretty good. I ordered chardonnay with tomato soup and grilled cheese.

I happened to stumble on this Cafe on my early morning stroll and I was drawn by the atmosphere broken shaker provided. I was serviced by Dianie and she recommended the matcha which turned to be one of the most amazing drinks I have ever consumed. Her customer service was outstanding and I will be returning. 10/10 experience.
A hidden gem! We really enjoyed our signature drinks and beer and our time in the lounge. The drinks were so good (70"s Porn Star). The lounge is a breath of fresh air - good mood/good vibes.
